APT by Rosé and Bruno Mars Hits 2.1 Billion Views in 378 Days, Fourth Fastest in YouTube History

Rosé and Bruno Mars’ “APT.” races past 2.1 billion views, 4th fastest in YouTube history

Rosé of BLACKPINK and Bruno Mars continue their chart-defying momentum as the music video for “APT.” surpassed 2.1 billion views on YouTube at around 6:23 p.m. KST on October 31. Since its release at 1 p.m. KST on October 18, 2024, the video reached the mark in just 378 days—an elite pace by any standard.

With this milestone, “APT.” becomes the fastest music video by an Asian artist to exceed 2.1 billion views, and the fastest female-led music video to achieve the feat. Overall, it is now the fourth fastest music video in YouTube history to hit 2.1 billion views.

Only three videos reached the benchmark sooner: Luis Fonsi’s “Despacito” (feat. Daddy Yankee), Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You,” and Maroon 5’s “Girls Like You” (feat. Cardi B).

  • Milestone: 2.1 billion YouTube views
  • Time to milestone: 378 days
  • Records: Fastest by an Asian artist; fastest female-led MV; 4th fastest overall
  • Ahead on the list: Despacito, Shape of You, Girls Like You

“APT.” blends Rosé’s crystalline pop sensibility with Bruno Mars’ timeless groove, delivering replay-ready hooks that translate across languages and markets—an emphatic reminder of K-pop’s global reach and the power of high-impact cross-continental collaboration.

Congratulations to Rosé and Bruno Mars on another towering YouTube achievement.
