NCT’s Doyoung Gives Back Before Enlistment With Donation To Build A School In Uganda
Even as he prepares for military service, NCT’s Doyoung is putting his heart into action. He has donated 100 million KRW (approximately $70,000) to World Vision to improve learning conditions for children, funding the construction of a new school in Bugondo, located in Uganda’s Mayuge District.
The project aims to create a safer, more comfortable environment for students who have struggled due to inadequate facilities. Once complete, the school is expected to benefit roughly 1,000 children, offering them classrooms where they can learn with dignity and focus.
Doyoung shared that, after wrapping up his second tour, he wanted to return a portion of the love he’s received from fans around the world. He expressed hope that the new school will serve as a launchpad for children to grow, learn, and pursue their dreams.
World Vision Korea also conveyed deep gratitude for his sincere support and pledged to do its utmost to help the children of Bugondo continue their studies in an improved environment.
Known for consistently supporting meaningful causes, Doyoung is set to enlist as an active-duty soldier on December 8. Fans and the wider K-pop community are applauding his generosity and cheering him on as he embarks on this next chapter.
