DAY6’s Dowoon Makes Heartfelt Donation to Support Young Patients
DAY6 drummer Dowoon has donated 100 million won (approximately $69,700) to Samsung Medical Center, directing the funds to help cover medical expenses for children and adolescents in need.
The contribution will be used for surgeries, transplants, and other essential treatments, easing the burden on young patients and their families. It’s a quietly powerful gesture that reflects Dowoon’s steady commitment to empathy-driven impact within and beyond the K-pop community.
“Thanks to the love and support I’ve received from so many fans, I was able to take part in this meaningful act of giving. I will continue to be grateful for the love I’ve received, and I’ll strive to make a positive impact,” Dowoon shared.
Meanwhile, DAY6 is commemorating their 10th anniversary with the special concert series “The Present” in Seoul from December 19 to 21. As the band caps off a milestone year, Dowoon’s donation underscores how artists are channeling their platforms to deliver tangible change where it matters most.
