Jay Park Steps Onto the LNGSHOT Tape: 4SHOBOIZ Vol. 2 Has the Mentor on the Mic
The mentor is on the mic this time, and the pace tells you everything you need to know.
Five months ago, LNGSHOT didn't officially exist as a debuted group. Today they're sitting on three releases, a pre-debut mixtape, and now 4SHOBOIZ Vol. 2: 4SHOVILLE with Jay Park properly on the tape. That pace is not normal for a K-pop rookie. It is, however, very normal for a hip-hop crew, and that is the whole point of how MORE VISION are running this rollout.
4SHO 4SHO dropped as a music video on 11 May, ahead of the full mixtape on 18 May, 6PM KST. Within a week the MV cleared a million and a half views with no fancam discourse, no concept teaser drip-feed, just Park and the four lads bouncing off each other in the way crews do when they've genuinely been in the room together. It is the first time the four-letter brand on this tape, 4SHOBOIZ, includes Park properly on the verses. Vol. 1 was LNGSHOT's pre-debut. Vol. 2 is the boss showing up.
The pre-release: 4SHO 4SHO sets the tone
If you only watch one thing before 18 May, make it 4SHO 4SHO. It is the cleanest possible statement of intent for what 4SHOBOIZ means as a unit. There is no posturing. Park is not performing seniority. LNGSHOT are not performing rookie deference. Everyone is just bars and groove, and the chemistry reads as lived-in rather than staged.

"Together under the name 4SHOBOIZ, Jay Park and LNGSHOT showcase their synergy, capturing their energetic and free-spirited vibes."
That synergy phrasing came from MORE VISION's own messaging around the drop, and watching the MV makes it land. The track is mid-tempo, vocally loose, hook-led without being chart-bait. It is the kind of song you put out when you want to remind people the project sits in hip-hop first and K-pop second. Which, given LNGSHOT's positioning since debut, is exactly the lane this rollout has been driving in.
The musical world: how LNGSHOT got here
To understand why Park climbing onto this tape matters, you have to understand how purposefully MORE VISION has been building LNGSHOT's sound. The group name is literally "longshot," meaning a slim chance but a decisive shot. Park has said in interviews that he wanted a group of people who share his values, not a clone of the AOMG playbook. The trainee years showed up in the receipts: most of Vol. 1, the pre-debut mixtape, was self-produced by the members.
Then came the polished arrival. Saucin' dropped 22 December 2025 as a pre-debut single, all woozy R and B groove and quiet confidence. It introduced the group's vocal palette before Moonwalkin' came in for the official debut on 13 January 2026, sharper and more swagger-forward. The two videos together form a thesis: LNGSHOT can do mood and they can do mic-grabbing, and they are not going to pick one lane and stay there.

By March, Training Day arrived and made the rollout pace deliberate rather than rushed. Each member got a solo cut, which is a flex on two levels: it told the audience the four lads can carry songs alone, and it told the industry MORE VISION is happy to invest production firepower in individualising a rookie group. Most labels save that move for year three. LNGSHOT got it in month two.

The momentum check
4SHO 4SHO pre-release in numbers
The pre-release is doing the heavy lifting, and the numbers back the optics.
Beyond the MV stats, LNGSHOT have already booked Head In The Clouds in both Tokyo and LA for 2026, plus a 2025 Seoul Con appearance at the World K-pop Festival CountDown. For a group that has been debuted for under five months, that festival routing reads like a label deliberately positioning them for the diaspora hip-hop audience first, K-pop charts second. 4SHOBOIZ Vol. 2 sits squarely in the middle of that build.

The tracklist: eight tracks, two flips
4SHOBOIZ Vol. 2: 4SHOVILLE
- 4SHO 4SHO (Title)
- YEAH! YEAH!
- NO HI, NO HEY
- RUN IT UP
- GUKBBONG
- MOYA
- THE PURGE 4SHOMIX
- PUBLIC ENEMY 4SHOMIX (Feat. DJ Wegun)
The structure is the thesis. Six fresh joint cuts up top, then two 4SHOMIX reworks of Park's back catalogue at the close. The Purge was a 2020 H1GHR MUSIC compilation cut, posse-track energy with seven artists trading bars. Putting LNGSHOT on a flip of it is not subtle. It is, in track form, Park signalling that the lineage runs from his crew era into this group.

Why 4SHOVILLE matters now
Three signals to pay attention to. First, the sound signal: this is the first project where Park is on the credits as performer rather than label head. He has been visible as producer and mentor since LNGSHOT launched, but his vocals on the tape change the read. It is a public cosign, not a private one.
Second, the timing signal: five months from debut to a joint tape with the label's founding artist is fast. Most rookie groups would still be doing fan meetings at month five. MORE VISION is treating LNGSHOT like a hip-hop project that drops when there is something worth dropping, and the audience response so far suggests that bet is paying off.
Third, the peer group signal: 4SHOMIX flips of The Purge and Public Enemy place LNGSHOT inside Park's wider H1GHR MUSIC and AOMG lineage. The DJ Wegun feature confirms it. This is not a debut group being introduced to Park's network. This is Park installing them inside it.
For the K-hip-hop audience, that triple signal is the appeal. For the K-pop audience, it is the curiosity. 4SHOVILLE is the rare release that gets read meaningfully by both camps at once.
