“Made in Korea” Sets Premiere Date—and Season 2 Is Already in Production
Disney+ has officially dated its high-stakes period drama “Made in Korea,” while also confirming that Season 2 is underway with a release eyed for the second half of next year.
The series will drop its first two episodes on December 24, followed by two more on December 31. Remaining episodes will then roll out sequentially.
Set against the turbulent backdrop of the 1970s, “Made in Korea” pits Baek Ki Tae (Hyun Bin), an ambitious power seeker, against prosecutor Jang Geon Young (Jung Woo Sung), who risks everything to stop him. Woo Do Hwan also joins the ensemble, adding intensity to the show’s cat-and-mouse stakes.
The project marks the first OTT venture for director Woo Min Ho as well as stars Hyun Bin and Jung Woo Sung—and signals Hyun Bin’s return to dramas since his era-defining turn in “Crash Landing on You.” With its A-list lineup and prestige pedigree, “Made in Korea” is shaping up to be one of the season’s most-watched launches.
