Yoo Ji Tae and Lee Min Jung’s postponed crime drama “Villains” locks in a December 18 premiere on TVING.

The TVING original has officially set its release for December 18. The series was initially slated for 2023 but was delayed after Kwak Do Won was booked on charges of drunk driving in September 2022, shortly after filming wrapped. A TVING representative confirmed the new date and added that it is difficult to comment on any edits involving Kwak Do Won’s scenes due to potential spoilers.

“Villains” follows brutal power struggles among top-tier criminals over an ultra-precise counterfeit bill known as the “Supernote.” The cast features Yoo Ji Tae, Lee Min Jung, Kwak Do Won, and Lee Beom Soo. The series is directed by Jin Hyuk (The Tale of Lady Ok, Legend of the Blue Sea, Master’s Sun) and written by filmmaker Kim Hyung Joon of the 2010 thriller No Mercy.
