The Manipulated: Ji Chang Wook, Doh Kyung Soo, and Lee Kwang Soo Spiral Into a Razor‑Sharp Revenge Thriller
Disney+ has unveiled striking new stills for its original series “The Manipulated,” teasing a gritty, character-driven tale where every choice cuts deep and every alliance has a cost.
At the center is Tae Joong (Ji Chang Wook), an ordinary man shattered by a wrongful conviction for a brutal crime. When he learns the nightmare was engineered by the calculating Yo Han (Doh Kyung Soo), vengeance becomes his lifeline—and his transformation begins.
The stills hint at how far each player is willing to go. Tae Joong, bruised and hardened in prison uniform, stares down danger with a gaze that no longer blinks. Yo Han, cold in a black suit and leveling a gun, radiates a chilling, unhinged resolve. By Tae Joong’s side stand Noh Yong Sik (Kim Jong Soo) and Noh Eun Bi (Jo Yoon Soo), whose solidarity suggests not just support—but strategy.
Then there’s Baek Do Kyung (Lee Kwang Soo), commanding attention with audacious style and a phone call that looks less like conversation and more like orchestration. Inside the prison, a tense face-off with Yeo Deok Su (Yang Dong Geun), the dominant force behind bars, signals that survival here is a game of wits as much as will. Meanwhile, Yo Han’s menacing confrontation elsewhere underscores a ruthless creed: plans come first, and nothing is off-limits.
“The Manipulated” launches with a binge-ready drop of four episodes on November 5, followed by two new episodes weekly, for a 12-episode run. With star power, razor-wire tension, and a revenge engine set to roar, this is one to clear your schedule for.
