From Busan Asiad to Tottenham: Reading the London Nights From the Debut-Day Show
One ARMY flew home for 0613. Here is what Busan tells us about the two nights waiting in N17.
On 13 June I was inside Busan Asiad Main Stadium for the night that mattered most. BTS marking thirteen years to the day since debut, all seven of them, on home soil, together for the first time in years. ARIRANG reaches London on 6 and 7 July at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, so here is what the debut-day show tells us about the two nights coming our way.

The stage: built in the round
The production sits in the centre of the pitch. There is no real back of the room, and the focus rotates across the whole stadium through the night. That setup travels with the tour, which means Tottenham gets the same in-the-round geometry Busan had. If you are choosing seats for London, this is the headline: there is no dead angle, and the floor is not automatically the best view.
Three moments that defined the night
01
The butterfly drone show
Hundreds of drones lifted into the Busan night sky and formed a butterfly, part of the city-wide spectacle thrown for the homecoming. It was the most Busan thing about the whole trip, a celebration for the hometown and the anniversary rather than something built into the touring stage. Honestly I would not bank on London getting anything like it. This read as a city-level homecoming moment, not production that travels with the tour, so expect Tottenham to look different here.
02
Magic Shop
There is a reason this one wrecks people. It was written for ARMY, and hearing it on debut day, in the room, with the whole stadium singing the fanchant back, was the emotional peak of the night. Whether it stays in the London set comes down to the rotation, but if it lands, prepare yourself. The debut-day context made it hit differently and that specific weight does not transfer, yet the song itself absolutely could.
03
The Come Over reveal
The SUGA-produced track only went out digitally the day before, so getting it live on debut day felt like a gift aimed straight at the fandom. As a new ARIRANG-era song it has a strong chance of staying in the set through London. What you will not get is the world-first, just-dropped electricity of hearing it the night after release. That charge was Busan only.

The freebies ARMY shared with me at the venue
ARMY from the UK, Mexico, the US and Japan pressed unofficial goods into my hands all night. The freebie culture is half of what makes a show like this feel like a reunion rather than just a concert.

The London forecast
Pulling it together, here is the read on what carries from Busan to Tottenham and what stays behind.
| Element | Busan, 13 Jun | London, 6 to 7 Jul |
|---|---|---|
| Stage | 360 in-the-round | Same in-the-round build |
| Setlist core | Anniversary-weighted, ARMY songs front and centre | Core set very likely carries over |
| Ments | Korean-led, deeply personal | English-led, expect London call-and-response |
| Spectacle | Butterfly drones, fireworks, homecoming scale | Likely a different visual package, drones not guaranteed |
| New track | Come Over live, day after release | Come Over likely stays, minus the premiere buzz |
| Light | Night show | July sunset is late, opening songs may start in daylight |
Predicted London setlist
The ARIRANG core barely shifts from city to city, so this is the set London should expect. The only real variable is the pair of surprise songs each night.
The ARIRANG era core
The hits that anchor the night
Surprise slot, two per night, rotates
Busan drew Magic Shop, dimple, Ddaeng and One More Night across the anniversary nights. London will almost certainly get its own two per show, so 6 and 7 July will differ right here.
Fanchants worth memorising
Learn these before you walk in. The London crowd will be loud, and the fanchant moments land hardest when the whole stadium hits them together. Tap a song to pull up a fanchant guide.
[ Editor note: these open a fanchant search. Swap in your preferred official guide videos if you have them. ]
For London ARMY
A few practical notes. Sunset in early July sits close to 9pm, so the first stretch may run in daylight if the start is early. Tottenham is on the Victoria line and the overground, and a crowd that size means you want to be in well before doors close. Two nights also means two chances, and tour shows tend to vary the encore and surprise songs night to night, so 6 and 7 July will not be carbon copies of each other.
Carrying all the warmth from those freebies, we have also put together an event with UK ARMATION, so please come along and get involved.
From the 13 June purple wave to London
On debut day the whole of Busan Asiad turned purple. Now that wave is heading to N17. SOOJIB has put together something for every ARMY going to the London shows.
