ADOR Issues Statement After Court Upholds NewJeans’ Exclusive Contracts
ADOR has released an official statement following a court ruling that upheld the validity of the company’s exclusive contracts with NewJeans. The decision, handed down by the Seoul Central District Court’s 41st Civil Division, found that ADOR did not violate its obligations as a management agency and that attempts to terminate the contracts on the basis of a breakdown in trust should not be permitted.
In its message, ADOR expressed appreciation for the outcome and emphasized that the judgment aligns with prior related decisions over the past year. The company noted that, throughout multiple legal steps — from the main lawsuit and interim injunctions to appeals — the courts have consistently recognized ADOR’s position as NewJeans’ management under the existing agreements.

ADOR also urged a calm reassessment of the situation, signaling a desire for dialogue with the members. The agency stated it has completed preparations for upcoming activities, including a full-length album, and is ready to proceed following discussions with the artists in order to return to fans as soon as possible.
