BOYNEXTDOOR Are Going HOME, And They're Not the Boys Next Door Anymore

The first studio album lands 8 June. The pre-release Ddok Ddok Ddok already kicked the door in.

Three years. Six EPs. One Japanese debut. A world tour. A million-seller. BOYNEXTDOOR have finally arrived at the album every great group eventually has to make: the first full-length, the one that says this is everything we are now. And they've called it HOME.

The album lands 8 June 2026 at 6pm KST, but the pre-release single Ddok Ddok Ddok (똑똑똑, "knock knock knock") already dropped on 11 May, and it is not the friendly hello you might expect. Calling it a prologue undersells it. Ddok Ddok Ddok is the era declaration. Cinematic, chaotic, completely refusing the boy-next-door framing the group rode in on, and yet still recognisably BND in its writing DNA. ONEDOOR have decided: the boys grew up. They brought the action.

Ddok Ddok Ddok, the knock that rewrote the tone

If you came to BND for soft confessionals and tender heartbreak, the Ddok Ddok Ddok music video will rearrange your brain. Six members. Intruders. A black-and-white chase through houses, stairwells and Seoul rooftops. A member literally falling out of the sky. A house exploding mid-frame. Cool faces. Colder eyes. Rap verses delivered while being pursued. The boys next door are gone. In their place: cinema.

The hook Out of nowhere I'm jumping the gate to your front door. The pre-release tease that names every past era, from WHO! all the way to The Action. The whole story collected in one knock.

The track itself is built on a cheeky provocation: a knock that turns into a chase, lyrics that name-check every past BND album, signature BND wordplay sharpened to a point. The pre-release is doing what a great prologue does. It is collecting the entire story so HOME can be the room you walk into.

The credits read like a BND family reunion

Production credits on Ddok Ddok Ddok confirm the closest thing this group has to an in-house sound. ZICO and Pop Time, the duo behind almost every BND title track since debut, are back in the booth. PENOMECO and Lil Moshpit join on writing, and the result has that BND tension where the production sits clean and pop-shaped but the lyric chooses chaos.

Member-side: Jaehyun, Taesan and Woonhak all credited on the track, as expected. The in-house trio have had hands on nearly every BND release since debut, and No Genre had Woonhak credited across every song. HOME being the first studio LP means the bar shifts. Expect their fingerprints across the full tracklist.

What does this tell us about the album sound? Ddok Ddok Ddok is the loudest, sharpest, most percussive BND have released. Read that as the storm before the room. HOME is the building. The title track, once revealed, is more likely to lean back into the melodic ZICO-funk register that defined the group's biggest moments. The boys next door always come back.

The receipts before the album

BND do not arrive at their first studio album by accident. The momentum is real and verifiable.

The numbers behind the comeback

19.99 surpassed one million copies in cumulative sales within roughly six weeks of release in late 2024, BND's first million-seller.

No Genre opened with 1.16 million copies in its first week in May 2025, the band's highest first-week sales and a Circle Album Chart number one.

Knock On Vol.1 Tour, BND's first world tour, kicked off at Inspire Arena Incheon in December 2024 with two shows.

2025 FIVB Men's Volleyball World Championship, performed in Pasay as global celebrity ambassadors in September 2025.

Translation: the group built a base across 2024-25 that turned them from "new boy group from KOZ" into one of the most-watched fourth-generation acts going into 2026. The full-length studio album is the natural next move. It is also the move where labels stop being polite.

The long way around the block

Every BND release so far has been a chapter in the same story. The debut single WHO! opened with the rush of a first crush. WHY.. closed it with the first heartbreak. HOW? filled in the messy middle. Then they grew up.

May 2023

WHO! · 1st Single Album

Three title tracks, three steps of a first crush. The debut that named the whole BND project.

Sep 2023

WHY.. · 1st EP

First heartbreak. First Billboard 200 entry at 162. The introduction of BND as a writing group.

Apr 2024

HOW? · 2nd EP

First Circle Album Chart number one. First music show win on The Show. The trilogy completed.

Sep 2024

19.99 · 3rd EP

The edge of teenhood. BND's first million-seller. Two singles, Dangerous and Nice Guy.

May 2025

No Genre · 4th EP

1.16 million copies in opening week. I Feel Good as title. Woonhak credited on every track.

Oct 2025

The Action · 5th EP

Hollywood Action as the lead single. The swagger phase. The last chapter before HOME.

Jun 2026

HOME · 1st Studio Album

The destination. Pre-release Ddok Ddok Ddok already out, full tracklist to follow.

HOME is not a new chapter. It is the destination. Eight months after The Action, which is the longest gap in BND's domestic discography. The official HOME website even folds back to the pre-debut homepage they launched in 2023, mint doors and mailboxes and skateboards, like the journey is looping. Press the doorbell, the door opens. Inside, a clock with the comeback time, a frame with the album name. They are inviting you back to where it started.

Why HOME matters more than another comeback

The full tracklist has not dropped yet. The title track is unannounced. KOZ are doing the slow reveal and after that MV, the suspense is working. Here are the three signals SOOJIB is reading early.

Signal 01 · Sound

The shift from EP to LP is a sound shift, not a length shift. Six EPs gave BND time to test ranges. A first studio album lets them stop testing and commit. Expect a deliberate range, an intro that frames the room, an interlude or skit, an outro that loops back to the door. Bet against a doorbell or a knock somewhere in the first minute at your own risk.

Signal 02 · Timing

Eight months is BND's longest gap. The previous record was the seven months between WHY.. and HOW? in 2023-24. KOZ are giving HOME the runway every studio album deserves, which means full press cycles, multiple title teasers, possibly a second single before release. The slow reveal is the point.

Signal 03 · Peer Group

2026 is the year fourth-gen graduates to the main stage. Multiple peer groups are stepping into their own first full-lengths or stadium-tier comebacks across this season. HOME is BND's claim. After million-sellers and a world tour, this album is the receipt.

The door opens 8 June

A first studio album is a statement. For BOYNEXTDOOR, calling it HOME is a quieter statement than a flex, and somehow that makes it land harder. Three years in. Six EPs deep. A million-seller, a world tour, and the receipts to back the title up: this is the group that started behind a mint door, and they are inviting you back through it.

Ddok Ddok Ddok was the knock. HOME is the door swinging open. Pre-orders are live at SOOJIB, comeback drops 8 June at 6PM KST. We will see you inside.
