The highly anticipated period thriller “Portraits of Delusion” has unveiled its first stills, teasing a chilling encounter between a reclusive hotel owner and the artist commissioned to capture her likeness.
Set in Gyeongseong in 1935, the series follows painter Yun Iho, who is tasked with creating a portrait of Song Jeong Hwa—a mysterious woman who has remained out of public view for more than half a century and is the subject of countless rumors. As he steps into her world, a web of secrets begins to unravel, pulling him deeper into a suspense-laced narrative.
Suzy takes on the role of Song Jeong Hwa, the enigmatic proprietor of the Nammoon Hotel, whose captivating beauty and unsettling aura conceal untold stories. Kim Seon Ho plays Yun Iho, an artist whose passion for true art is reignited as he faces his subject. Trapped within a hotel steeped in secrets—and torn between fear and fascination—Iho finds himself gradually captivated by Jeong Hwa.
Helmed by acclaimed director Han Jae Rim (The King, Emergency Declaration, The 8 Show), the drama also marks a much-anticipated reunion between Suzy and Kim Seon Ho, who last shared the screen in the hit 2020 series Start-Up.
Currently in production, “Portraits of Delusion” is slated to premiere in the second half of 2026. Expect a stylish blend of period atmosphere, psychological tension, and the haunting question of whether a portrait can reveal the truth—or deepen the illusion.
