Ji Sung, Won Jin Ah, and Park Hee Soon Ignite First Script Reading for MBC’s “Judge Lee Han Young”
MBC’s upcoming drama “Judge Lee Han Young” unveiled its first script reading, bringing together a powerhouse cast and creative team for a revenge-fueled, time-slip legal thriller.
Adapted from a popular web novel, the series follows Lee Han Young, a compromised judge who once lived at the mercy of a giant law firm. After an unexpected leap 10 years into the past, he seizes a second chance to dismantle entrenched corruption and deliver justice.
The session united director Lee Jae Jin, writer Kim Kwang Min, and a formidable ensemble led by Ji Sung, Park Hee Soon, and Won Jin Ah, alongside Tae Won Seok, Baek Jin Hee, Oh Se Young, Hwang Hee, Kim Tae Woo, Ahn Nae Sang, and Kim Bup Rae.
Ji Sung commands the role of Lee Han Young, capturing the character’s raw emotional pivot and full-scale transformation—from a “servant” of power to a judge determined to correct a broken system after returning to the past.
Park Hee Soon portrays Kang Shin Jin, a presiding criminal judge at the Seoul Central District Court who relentlessly chases influence. What begins as an outreach to Lee Han Young spirals into a sharp clash of ambitions and ideology.
Won Jin Ah takes on Kim Jin Ah, a Special Investigations prosecutor driven to uncover the truth behind her father’s death. Her dynamic with Lee Han Young oscillates between suspicion and fragile trust as the two navigate overlapping agendas.
