Why XngHan&Xoul Exists

When SM Entertainment confirmed in late 2024 that Seunghan would return as a solo artist, the question was never simply about a comeback. It was about what shape that comeback would take. The answer arrived in July 2025 with the launch of XngHan&Xoul, an artist brand built around the idea that music, dance and creative direction don't have to live in separate boxes.

The 'X' in XngHan stands for infinite possibilities and crossover. The 'Xoul' refers to a crew of creators from different disciplines, starting with professional dancers Kyohong and Yul, who joined Seunghan from day one. Rather than debuting as a conventional soloist, Seunghan chose to build something collaborative: a unit where performance carries the same weight as the music itself.

What 'Waste No Time' Told Us

The debut single dropped on 31 July 2025, carrying two tracks that mapped out very different sides of the XngHan&Xoul sound.

The title track 'Waste No Time' is an energetic electronic dance track driven by bright-toned synth leads and a punchy bass line. The melody is intuitive and hooks quickly, but it's the message underneath that hit home for listeners: a young artist declaring that he won't let the present moment pass him by, choosing to move forward without hesitation. On stage, the track came alive through tightly choreographed crew performance, with Kyohong and Yul amplifying the energy around Seunghan's vocal presence.

'Heavenly Blue', the B-side, shifted the mood entirely. Built on a chill house foundation with soft textured kicks and dreamy synth pads, the track layered emotional vocals over an airy, atmospheric production. Seunghan participated directly in the lyrics, writing honest words of gratitude for those who stood by him through everything. For fans who had waited through months of uncertainty, 'Heavenly Blue' landed as something deeply personal.

The reception was clear. 'Waste No Time' reached No. 1 on the iTunes Top Songs chart in 12 regions worldwide. Forbes, The Hollywood Reporter and NME in the UK all gave favourable coverage, recognising both the music and the ambition behind the XngHan&Xoul project.

Everything Between Then and Now

The nine months since 'Waste No Time' have been anything but quiet. Seunghan took the XngHan&Xoul brand on the road with the SMTOWN LIVE tour, appeared as a featured artist on collaborations, and even hosted a fashion pop-up store. Each activity pushed into a different creative space, building the kind of range that a traditional comeback cycle rarely allows for.

All of it has been pointing towards something bigger.

What We Know About 'Glow'

XngHan&Xoul's 1st mini album 'Glow' has been confirmed with five tracks, including the title track of the same name. It's the most substantial release from the project so far, moving from a two-track single to a full mini album that will have room to explore more of the sound and the story.

On 26 April 2026, one day before the album release, XngHan&Xoul will host '2026 XngHan&Xoul Fanmeeting [Let's Glow]'. The event is expected to feature the world premiere performance of the title track with the full Xoul crew on stage. It's not just a promotional stop. For the fans who've been here since before 'Waste No Time', it's the moment where the next chapter begins together.
