Jang Ki Yong and Ahn Eun Jin Tease Spark-Filled Chemistry in SBS’s “Dynamite Kiss”
The leads open up about their instant synergy, the rush of an office romance, and why this story will keep hearts racing from episode to episode.
The main cast of the upcoming SBS drama “Dynamite Kiss” recently joined a sleek ELLE Korea pictorial, where Jang Ki Yong and Ahn Eun Jin offered a candid look at their chemistry and the show’s irresistible premise.
“Dynamite Kiss” follows Go Da Rim (Ahn Eun Jin), a single woman who disguises herself as a married mom to land a job, and Gong Ji Hyuk (Jang Ki Yong), a charismatic team leader who finds himself falling for her. What begins with a fateful first kiss quickly evolves into a pulse-quickening office romance—equal parts sweet, secretive, and impossible to ignore.
On set, the chemistry clicked fast. Jang Ki Yong praised Ahn Eun Jin’s bright energy and presence, noting how her positivity lifts the entire atmosphere the moment she walks in. Ahn Eun Jin, in turn, shared that Jang Ki Yong embodied Team Leader Gong Ji Hyuk from day one, describing his considerate, responsive acting style as a catalyst for their on-screen synergy—right down to the sincere, love-filled gaze that deepened her portrayal of Da Rim.
Why this project? Ahn Eun Jin pointed to the script’s addictive momentum—each episode ending with a dopamine-jolting twist that makes you ask, “What now?” After their chance encounter, feelings bloom fast, but once they’re back at the office, a playful love-hate rhythm kicks in. Even the photocopier might be onto them, making every shared glance a risk—and a thrill.
For Jang Ki Yong, the words “office romance” already promise excitement: two people living separate lives become entangled by one unexpected kiss, then paint their days with a cascade of colorful, dynamic moments. Filming those beats, he said, was as fun as it looks.
Both stars also reflected on the power of love in complicated times. Jang Ki Yong sees love—whether from a partner, family, friend, or colleague—as a sustaining force. Ahn Eun Jin hopes viewers finish an episode wanting to fall in love (or at least steal a kiss); to her, the best romances are cute, heart-fluttering, and inspiring enough to make you think, “I want to love like that, too.”
“Dynamite Kiss” premieres November 12 at 9 p.m. KST on SBS. Mark your calendars—this one’s set to deliver all the feels, one cliffhanger at a time.
